The leadership development laboratory of TU Wien – Academy for Continuing Education powered by AssekuRisk Safety Management GmbH. My full respect to colleagues working in the aviation industry as represented by Captain Hans Haerting of Austrian Airlines in the A320 simulator. Moderated by Sabine Fürst human factor scientist we learnt how to apply aviation industry best practices to our own industry: ·       psychological safe environment, no blame, speak-up/listen-up culture ·       crystal clear communication rules, no misunderstanding in a noisy environment ·       how to put the emotionally driven decisions into our rational mind in case of emergency situations etc. All of these put under the umbrella of safety management mastered by Captain Christian Flatschart of Austrian Airlines, The Leadership in Turbulent Times innovative course by Wolfgang H. Güttel is super relevant irrespective how many years of experience we have behind us.
