An excellent articulation of the cognitive decline being seen in children, exactly at the point in time when they need to be strengthened. Our education systems are letting our students down. 'We' need to do much more of this ⬇️ before it becomes a problem we can't fix. Cognitive skills have been in decline for quite some time; at least since the 1960s, but successive governments keep focusing on shuffling and vote winning, and not resolving the challenges. Later in the week I will post about the sessions we ran last week at Greater Peterborough UTC with Sonia Rogers which were aimed at helping students think more diversely, and to question the information in front of them.
