I‘m in my last days at Kulturhauptstadt Europas Chemnitz 2025 gGmbH as the year 2025 and the main project comes to an end. It’s been an incredible Challenge for me to work somewhere in between the „demand“ of the city-administration, the „demand“ of the state of saxony, the eye of the public, the perspective of the projects, the expectations of the Management as well as my personal expectation. Trying to be creative in such an Environment wasn’t just harder for me it also felt like a longer run. Alot of times it felt like a compromise. Sometimes it just felt totally wrong or just totally right. It broke my heart and it stiched it right back together. I did what I could to push for my believes of how this should look, feel and be. I tried to make things right and believe to have a fair share on some of the good stuff we put out in terms of Books, Merchandising, Clips and Photos. And yes, I‘m absolutly looking for a new Job from 1st of January. Chemnitz as a european Capital of Culture? Unthinkable but still… it happened. All my deep respect to everybody who kept pushing on this for the people of Chemnitz & Europe and not for themselves. Thank you to the wide span projects that delivered the „real content“ to this venture. I suggest a statue or naming a street after the man.
