A great day at Cannes Lions yesterday for the Permutive team. In the morning, our VP of Products, Chloe Grutchfield, sat down with The Female Quotient for an interview. She talked about building Permutive's first AI planning agent against other execs' initial instincts, why customer empathy can't be outsourced to AI, and the hard conversations leaders must have with their teams before the age of agents makes them unavoidable. Later in the day, our MD of Agency and Programmatic Sales, Art Zeidman, joined NewDigitalAge at Maison NDA for a roundtable on what it really takes for independent agencies to scale. The conversation explored the distinct strengths different agency models bring: The scale, resource and global reach that holding companies offer, and the speed, transparency and structural agility that independents can leverage as they grow. The question for indies is how to protect those advantages while building the infrastructure to compete at the next level.
