☀️ Construction progress on the WildparkPV project Sötern Located in Saarland, Germany, WildparkPV Sötern demonstrates how renewable energy generation and agricultural land use can be successfully combined within a single integrated concept. As the name suggests, this project shows how land can serve multiple purposes while supporting the energy transition. With an installed capacity of 8.3 MWp (7MW AC), the solar farm will soon begin supplying clean electricity onto the German grid while continuing to function as grazing land for fallow deer. Of the total 24 hectares that make up the enclosure, 6.9 hectares are dedicated to the solar farm. Successful energy infrastructure is delivered not only through strong project concepts and technical excellence, but also through a systematic and continuous commitment to health, safety and responsible execution. With construction now nearly complete, we are pleased to report 15,800 working hours on site with zero incidents. Thanks to SCHOENERGIE for the collaboration and shared commitment to health and safety throughout this project. Maintaining a strong safety culture across every phase of delivery is key for us to ensure the reliable and secure deployment of renewable energy infrastructure – for the wellbeing of our team and, in this case, our four-legged neighbours as well. 🦌 We look forward to energising later this year and to seeing WildparkPV Sötern contribute clean, renewable energy to Germany’s energy future.
