🎬 What happens when a cinema stays open… while the whole stage changes above it? 🍿 No green screen. No special effects. Just engineering. To create Bavaria’s first IMAX cinema, the Dietrich-Theater in Neu-Ulm needed more than a renovation. It needed a whole new stage. So, the roof went up by 6 metres to make room for a giant 240 m² screen and cutting-edge laser technology. All while movies were still playing inside. 🎬 The catch? Hardly any space on site and no chance to anchor the scaffolding to the façade. The entire structure had to balance on its own while a 22-metre bridge worked its way around neighbouring buildings. And when crane deliveries rolled in? The 25-metre protection roof opened like a backstage curtain for the next scene. 🎭 Five months later, it was showtime. Want to see how the project came together behind the scenes? Take a closer look at the full story here: (Link in comments).
