A few weeks ago, I participated in my first Cycle for Survival. For those unfamiliar, Cycle for Survival is a fundraiser that raises money for rare cancer research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK). This event has a direct impact on rare cancer patients and families, with 100% of money raised going directly into labs at MSK, where life-saving doctors are working to find better treatments and cures for these diseases. At the time of the event, our team [Team Ride for Life] had collectively raised $46,150 — putting us on the team leaderboard (top 5!). Grateful to ride alongside Jaclyn Portogallo Mia Cromwell Taylor Douglas Corrigan Rayhill Maxine Jamison Max Jacobs 🧡 I also had the honor of riding Jen's Bike, a special bike in memory of Jen Goodman Linn, Cycle for Survival's co-founder, who passed away in 2011. I knew this event would be energizing and meaningful, but the experience truly exceeded my expectations. To be in a room filled with people who have been touched by cancer, to raise money that goes directly to MSK labs and research teams treating rare cancer patients, and to celebrate and cry alongside my best friends — it was a day I will never forget. The total raised from this event alone was over $21 million. That is so powerful. There are a few more weeks to donate and support. Help me reach my individual goal of raising $40,000+! Truly, any amount makes a difference. You can learn more & donate to my page here: https://lnkd.in/ekXj8RfU Thank you beyond.
