💚 Moving together, supporting together 💚 Yesterday, Gloucestershire Carers Hub supported Carers Active Together 2026 from Carers UK, an initiative focused on helping unpaid carers build physical activity into everyday life, in ways that feel welcoming, achievable and social. Carers and those they support joined us for a refreshing walk at Gloucester Docks, exploring the beauty of Alney Island, and we also visited Westonbirt for another uplifting walk and craft session. These moments weren’t just about exercise, they were about connection, shared experience and taking time to focus on personal wellbeing alongside caring roles. Activities like these remind us that gentle movement, fresh air and good company can make a real difference. Creating opportunities where carers feel supported, valued and able to prioritise their own health is vital and it’s something we’re committed to continuing.
