Eight months into Year 1 of our Personal Development and Learning Services contract with the Scottish Prison Service, and planning for Year 2 is already underway. Across all 16 prisons, the focus has been consistent: steady delivery, practical progress, and building something that holds. So far, that looks like: • 20,649 learning sessions delivered • 686 learners now on accredited pathways • 175 people already certificated Alongside that, we’re seeing real traction in the areas that matter most day to day. More support in place for neurodivergent learners, ESOL learners, and people on remand or short sentences. A Peer Mentoring Strategy now live, with people supporting each other through lived experience. A new partnership with the National Library of Scotland strengthening the reading offer. Early steps into vocational learning, with more to come. And stronger relationships with Governors across the estate, built on trust and shared purpose.
