On June 13th, the Penn Museum’s “Penn & Philly 250: Celebration of Community, Culture, and Freedom” Juneteenth event brought together the Penn and Philadelphia communities for a day honoring culture, history, and freedom. Alongside participation across the University, faculty from the Center for Africana Studies led educational workshops alongside performances, storytelling, and community programming that highlighted the rich heritage and traditions of Philadelphia.
