B’ys… Every town had one… Dat one graveyard ya had da walk past. In da daytime… Wouldn’t no big deal. Ya never even looked at it. But once da sun started going down… Ol’ man… Tings changed. 😳 I’d be walking along trying da convince myself… “Penney… don’t be so foolish.” Den a branch would crack… Or da wind would blow thru da trees… And I’d think… “Dis is it…” Next thing ya knows I was running so hard me feet barely touched da ground. I wasn’t just running… I was setting Olympic records. 🤭 I’d hit da front door outta breath, slam it behind me, and stand dere trying da act normal. Me mudder would look over and say, “What’s wrong with ya?” “Oh… nuttin’… Just felt like running.” Never in a million years was I gonna admit I had just outrun half da residents of da graveyard. 😂 Funny thing is… I never once saw a ghost.
