Happy to share some news from our work at ICIG Ventures: together with HTGF | High-Tech Gründerfonds we have invested in Mevaldi B.V., a Dutch biotech company with a very promising technology for sustainable chemistry. Mevaldi is developing a bio-based monomer that can be used in coatings, adhesives, and elastomers, offering a real alternative to fossil-based materials through their patented hybrid bio–thermocatalytic process. What makes this round special for me is the people behind it: Kristel de Ridder, Erik Rutten, and Roger O. and the whole Mevaldi team have built something impressive, and I am glad to support them on the next stage of growth. Also happy to co-invest alongside Lena-Sophie Schütter from HTGF, who has been a great partner in making this happen.
