Black History Month is for life, not just for October ๐๐พOne of my most cherished poetic collaborations is with TLG | Transforming Lives for Good. I was commissioned by Abigail Anjorin to write a spoken word that would answer TLG's question - "How can a child truly stand firm in power and pride when they are carrying a bag?" Not a school bag, but a heavier one... ๐ A bag filled with microaggressions, racial injustice and exclusion.โ๏ธ And what would it look like for us as a community to stand together to advocate for all children? ๐ A Renewed Society Is EXTRA-ordinary was birthed! A very special assignment that I am proud to share, that is already gaining momentum and having huge impact... ๐ โWow, goosebumps! You are such a talent, Peju" ๐ โI loved it! So powerful, inspiring and moving." ๐ โThe words resonate." ๐ โWonderful and Powerful" ๐ โThis is fab!" ๐ โBeautifully spoken, powerful words. Gives us a perspective of different bags." ๐ โYou've captured the heart of the subject with such precision and grace." Follow its journey of transformation here, too https://lnkd.in/eTcBwVEi Thank you to Abigail and Modupe Ogunniyi for championing me. Black History Month UK #pejuthespark #thevoicefortransformation #poeticstrategist ๐ Which line in the poem resonates deeply with YOU? Tell me in the comments โฌ๏ธ Itโll be a help to my research. ๐ And please RE-SHARE & RE-POST Iโm keen for this video and message to reach as many educators, schools, educational establishments and policy makers as possible ๐๐พ
