Black History Month is for life, not just for October ๐Ÿ™Œ๐ŸพOne of my most cherished poetic collaborations is with TLG | Transforming Lives for Good. I was commissioned by Abigail Anjorin to write a spoken word that would answer TLG's question - "How can a child truly stand firm in power and pride when they are carrying a bag?" Not a school bag, but a heavier one... ๐ŸŽ’ A bag filled with microaggressions, racial injustice and exclusion.โœ–๏ธ And what would it look like for us as a community to stand together to advocate for all children? ๐Ÿ”† A Renewed Society Is EXTRA-ordinary was birthed! A very special assignment that I am proud to share, that is already gaining momentum and having huge impact... ๐Ÿ”…โ€Wow, goosebumps! You are such a talent, Peju" ๐Ÿ”…โ€I loved it! So powerful, inspiring and moving." ๐Ÿ”…โ€The words resonate." ๐Ÿ”…โ€Wonderful and Powerful" ๐Ÿ”…โ€This is fab!" ๐Ÿ”…โ€Beautifully spoken, powerful words. Gives us a perspective of different bags." ๐Ÿ”…โ€You've captured the heart of the subject with such precision and grace." Follow its journey of transformation here, too https://lnkd.in/eTcBwVEi Thank you to Abigail and Modupe Ogunniyi for championing me. Black History Month UK #pejuthespark #thevoicefortransformation #poeticstrategist ๐Ÿ“Œ Which line in the poem resonates deeply with YOU? Tell me in the comments โฌ‡๏ธ Itโ€™ll be a help to my research. ๐Ÿ“Œ And please RE-SHARE & RE-POST Iโ€™m keen for this video and message to reach as many educators, schools, educational establishments and policy makers as possible ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ
