Although there is great interest in simplified regimens for Helicobacter pylori treatment, there is still an uncomfortable doubt about whether we lose efficacy when opting for these alternatives. Most of the current research is based on superiority frameworks, which do not adequately answer this question. I am proud to share that our publication, "Eradication of Helicobacter pylori With Vonoprazan–Amoxicillin Dual Therapy as an Alternative for Bismuth-Based Quadruple Therapy: A Systematic Review and Noninferiority Meta-Analysis," is now published in the Journal of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. In this study, we show that vonoprazan-amoxicillin dual therapy has a high probability of being noninferior to bismuth-based quadruple therapy using both -10% and -5% noninferiority margins, although most of the available evidence comes from Eastern populations. I want to thank my amazing colleagues for their collaboration on this work: Valbert Oliveira Costa Filho, Mariana Noronha, Guilherme Grossi Lopes Cançado.
