🔔 !Latest publication! 📜 I am delighted to share our new paper, resulting from an inspiring international collaboration among researchers from Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Università del Piemonte Orientale, the Universidade do Porto, and the Campus Auga Universidade de Vigo (Universidade de Vigo). This work highlights how green chemistry and sustainable technologies can contribute to the valorization of natural resources and the development of innovative bio-based products. 🙏 I would like to express my gratitude to Yassine Jaouhari, Hélder Oliveira, Matteo Bordiga, Lorella Giovannelli, Beatriz Gullón, Alessandro Candiani, Jean Daniel Coisson (and other co-authors), for their dedication, expertise, and collaborative spirit throughout this journey. It has been a privilege to work alongside such an outstanding team. ✨Our findings: - potential of Natural Deep Eutectic Solvents (NaDES) as sustainable and efficient extraction media for the recovery of valuable bioactive compounds with antioxidant activity. Compared with conventional solvents, NaDES offer a greener alternative while enhancing extraction efficiency and preserving bioactivity. - Importantly, this study goes beyond extraction by demonstrating the direct incorporation of NaDES-based extracts into cosmetic formulations. This innovative strategy reduces processing steps, improves sustainability, and paves the way for the development of functional and eco-friendly cosmetic products. 🚀 Beyond its scientific contributions, this work opens exciting synergistic research opportunities at the interface of #greenchemistry, #circularbioeconomy, #naturalingredients, and #cosmeticinnovation. We look forward to strengthening these collaborations and exploring new research avenues together. 📄 Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/ebZZNmQB European Commission Erasmus+ Interreg Sudoe Programme NEWPOWER - Interreg Sudoe Antioxidants MDPI
