THE NEXT PEAK | JOSHUA LIENDO “I just want to dominate.” It is a simple statement, but it says a lot about where Joshua Liendo is heading next. After an exceptional NCAA career at the University of Florida, Josh is entering a new chapter with his attention fully set on international competition and the road to Los Angeles 2028. He has already made history as the first Black Canadian swimmer to win an individual Olympic medal. But as his recent conversation with CBC, he is not interested in being defined by one result. The goals are getting bigger. The expectations are getting higher. And Josh is ready to see how far he can take it. With the Commonwealth Games approaching, we’ll be featuring our three athletes, their ambitions, stories and people supporting them. Not just the results, but the people behind them.
