🏗️ Great teams don’t skip the fundamentals. They obsess over them. 🔍 Yesterday I brought our Accenture UK & Ireland and Soben team together for a deep dive into data centre commissioning — from pre-design through to post-handover. This will allow us to innovate on current and future commissioning projects and support our clients through the process. Huge credit to Glenn Hawkins — a master of his craft and one of the best facilitators I’ve worked with. 🙌 Here’s the truth 👇 Commissioning generates one of the most complete and valuable dataset a facility will ever produce. Every FAT. Every SAT. Every IST. Thousands of data points proving how the facility was actually built — and how it behaves under real conditions. And then we put it in a box, or upload it to a trapped folder 📦 We are sitting on the most valuable dataset in the lifecycle……and routinely never utilise it in operation or to inform future commissioning activities. If we connect commissioning data into the lifecycle stack — from design through to live operations — everything changes: Handover stops being an endpoint ✋ Operations start on Day 1 with real intelligence 🧠 And every project gets smarter than the last 🔄 Now layer agentic AI on top of that foundation: - Systems that learn from every commissioning event - Every failure - Every integration test Not in hindsight — but in real time. This is where the industry is heading. Not just better-built infrastructure — But infrastructure that knows how it was built. And uses that knowledge from Day 1. 🚀 That shift starts at the coalface — which is exactly what the team leaned into yesterday. Thanks again Glenn — and to the team.
