Reconnecting with old friends and telling funny stories and anecdotes usually take hold of these calls within the first few minutes. Once we got over the fact that we blew the lid off any previous redhead participation numbers (five!), a lot of our conversation centered around development projects in our area. With a real estate, commercial development, and economic development professionals on the call, we were privy to updates on some new and old buildings. Sean M. Maguire gave us the latest on what’s happening with the former Tobin’s First Prize Plant (and it’s NOT zombie paintball, to my chagrin), and Jeff Mirel told us some exciting news about Rosenblum Development Corp's net-zero multi-family building being planned for the Great Oaks office park at the base of the northway. Perhaps the fact that none of us noticed Drew Jacobs conversed with a parrot on his lap might say something about our observation skills - more likely about the insight we were getting into some great progress we’re seeing regionally, even during this pandemic. Joining Drew, Sean, Jeff and me were Laura Petrovic, Kathleen (Kathy) Kirvin, Anthony DeBonis, Nick DeCaprio, Chad Binney, Michael Barnas, Anita Morin, Jennifer Wilson, and Lauren Groff. #virtualhappyhour #4TripsToUtica #MeanStreetsOfColonie
