Dinner tonight with the Artis UK team at Piccolino Ristorante , Virginia Water finished in exactly the right way… an Affogato. A simple dessert, but one that perfectly demonstrates how great hospitality creates value. Excellent coffee, quality gelato, a beautiful presentation in an Leerdam Crisal Glass SPKSY glass and attentive service. High perceived value, strong margin and an experience guests remember. It wasn’t cheap. Nor should it be. The lesson? Margin isn’t always found by increasing prices. It’s often created by presenting and serving products better. Serve better. Sell better.
