Month 1 at Forcom complete. Week 3 I wrote about surprises. Now I'm starting to connect the dots. The thing about loyalty systems that nobody tells you: 1. "Loyalty program" is a business decision. "Loyalty SYSTEM" is an engineering problem. Most companies think they need better campaigns. What they actually need is infrastructure that can execute those campaigns without breaking. 2. Omnichannel is easy to say, brutal to build. Same promotion. Same customer. But they're in-store, on mobile, AND on web. Simultaneously. Try syncing that in real-time without losing data or money. 3. The biggest retailers don't trust anyone with their analytics. They take our tools for execution. But the decisions? The segmentation? The strategy? That stays in-house. As it should.
