Retired Manager, Accounting at DBH Syracuse, Inc.

✨ After 40+ Years… I’m Officially Retired ✨ And that’s a wrap. After more than four decades in private accounting, I am officially retired. There are so many people I want to thank, and I apologize in advance if I miss anyone. I’ve been fortunate to work with incredible leaders who molded and shaped me into the professional—and person—I am today. From my very first boss, David Duerr, to my most recent boss, Jason Smorol, and all those in between: Sharon Patchett, Jeffrey Canniff, Rich Nave, Paula Buerkle, Jean-François Roy, CPA, Beverley Swanson, Daniel Quail, Kelly Merrill, Mike Vaughan, and Don Giromini. Each of you taught me something meaningful, and I’m grateful for every lesson. I also had the opportunity and privilege to serve on several not‑for‑profit boards making a real impact in our community, including Catholic Charities of Onondaga County with Michael Melara, Believe in Syracuse with Sally Sayles-Hannon, Ph.D., and Nazareth Farm Inc. with Allyson Petry. It’s been an honor to support organizations doing such important work. To the friends and colleagues, I’ve connected with here on LinkedIn—you’ve been an invaluable network, especially during times when I was searching for new opportunities. Thank you for always looking out for me. And, of course, my deepest gratitude to my family. My parents built the foundation of hard work and giving back. My wife and sons listened to countless stories from both the tough days and the great ones. Your support has meant everything. Here’s to the next chapter—whatever it may bring. 🥂
