If it doesn’t exist, create it. We didn’t blame the world for not giving us what we needed — we built it ourselves. It all began in the early 1990s, when a hockey-inspired group of working- and middle-class kids had neither the means to play ice hockey nor access to proper facilities. So we played roller hockey whenever and wherever we could. After winning a local league title, we founded a club. It became far more than just a place to play. It was where we created, learned, taught, built what was needed, formed lifelong friendships, and spent countless hours devoted to a niche sport as we grew into adulthood. Over the years, the club experienced incredible highs and difficult lows. Yesterday, more than 30 years after it was founded, this club won the national championship for the first time in its history. 🏆 I couldn’t be prouder.
