It always amazes me how many golf clubs don't take full advantage of their biggest asset, their golf course. They invest millions in the course, but don't take the next step to properly show it off. I see a ton of outdated and uninteresting images of golf courses. The result is damaging to perception, reputation and eventually, course revenue. Most golf courses think they don't have the budget or maybe they think they don't have a course that will photograph that well. This is always untrue. The truth is that every golf course has a certain amount of beauty in it. As a photographer, these are my favorite challenges. I love to take something that people think they know and showcase it in the light that it deserves. This week's photography shoot was at the beloved Bill Wright Golf Complex ($35 greens fee) here in Seattle. This photograph does a great job of taking something "ordinary" and showing off what is extraordinary about it.
