After several months of preparation, today we launched a partnership with Wever & Ducré based on the world of Christophe Gevers. A tribute to Belgian design heritage Following a wonderful meeting between Patrick Vossen ( Ceo axis71) and @Johan De Smedt (Managing Director Wever & Ducré), a shared passion for design and beautiful shapes (industrial and minimalist lines) emerged. This partnership was necessary given the complementary nature of the companies, and the timing was also important given the context, namely the resurgence in demand for products from the 1960s and 1970s... The two leading Belgian brands in the field of high-end lighting are therefore joining forces to put the spotlight back on the work of legendary designer Christophe Gevers. We pool our expertise to promote Gevers' vision. And we didn't do it alone: with his daughter Nathalie Gevers, they explored the archives. Gevers reinforces the Belgian DNA of the brands, while they bring a new dimension to his work. With this collaboration, the two brands wish to honour the rich history of Belgian design. They pay tribute to an icon of Belgian design and offer his timeless creations a new audience among design and interior enthusiasts. Axis71 is sharing two iconic designs: the CG01 table lamp and the SQUARE wall lamp. Axis71 and Wever & Ducré are offering a reissue of the GC01. Wever & Ducré in the basic colours: red, blue, yellow, aubergine and black. Axis71 offers limited and numbered editions, such as Le Sud (azure blue, 150 copies worldwide), Raw Metal, Galva, Shiny Gold, etc. For the SQUARE, Wever & Ducré offers the basic colours: black, white, bronze, etc., while Axis71 focuses on luxury versions in Shiny Gold, Brushed Brass, Chrome and Matt Chrome.
