Hudson’s Department Store, downtown Detroit. 89 toilets in the first floor women’s rest room. A whole floor for Santa. Do your shopping in the morning, stay for lunch (Maurice Salad), and your packages were waiting for you when you got home. And, from time to time, the world’s largest flag. Last displayed 50 years ago today. So why did we knock that building down again? (Where was Dan Gilbert in 1982?)
