Happy #BiodiversityDay On the occasion of International Biodiversity Day 2026, Particip's representatives participated in the high-level event “From Local Initiatives to Global Impact – Serbia on the Road to CBD COP17”, held at the UN House in Belgrade and organised by the Ministry of Environmental Protection of Serbia, with the support of UNDP and the UN Country Team in Serbia. The event gathered key national and international stakeholders to discuss Serbia’s progress in biodiversity protection and implementation of the Global Biodiversity Framework ahead of CBD COP17 in Armenia. As part of the event, our representatives (as a part of EU funded project "Strengthening strategic framework in nature protection sector and further implementation of Natura 2000 in the Republic of Serbia") joined the panel “Implementing the Global Biodiversity Framework in Serbia – Partnerships for Nature”, presenting upcoming Natura 2000 project activities and planned support for strengthening nature protection in Serbia in line with EU standards. The discussion highlighted the importance of partnerships among institutions, international organisations, civil society and local communities in advancing biodiversity conservation and nature protection in Serbia.
