🚨 NYC Multifamily buildings and Hotels can't miss these deadlines: Local Law 84 (LL84): May 1, 2026 + Local Law 97 (LL97): June 30, 2026 What Changed This Year? ➡️Stricter owner verification: Building owner information must exactly match Department of Finance (DOF) records (or HPD for condos/co-ops). ➡️Covered Buildings List review: Owner is responsible for confirming that their building is listed with the correct LL97 pathway on the NYC Covered Buildings List. ➡️Penalty mitigation tightened: Decarbonization plans are no longer accepted as good-faith efforts.
