In cystic fibrosis (CF) therapy, inhalation adherence remains a critical success factor. Maintaining adherence can be challenging across different stages of life and may be influenced by individual patient factors. Digital interventions are often assumed to be particularly relevant for adolescents. But which patient groups actually benefit most from digital-supported self‑management tools?   A recent post-hoc analysis of the conneCT CF study provides a more differentiated perspective: 👉 Similarly high adherence levels in adolescents and older adults possibly due to parental supervision and established routines 👉 Lower overall adherence in young adults 👉 People with CF aged 17-40 years, appear to gain the greatest benefit from digital support   👉👉Digital adherence tools are capable of providing value, but the impact on inhalation adherence in CF seems to be age‑dependent. Tailored approaches could be important when designing digital health interventions in CF. Digital tools are particularly effective in supporting patient adherence during midlife, both in early adulthood, when individuals are still establishing routines, and in the demanding phase of their thirties.   📍 ePoster presentation by Dr. Lea Botermann at ECFS Conference 2026 Friday, June 5 | 14:48–14:54 Session 11: Telehealth and digital tools in care and education   #inhalation #respiratory #drugdelivery #pharmapartnering #cysticfibrosis #mukoviszidose #ConnectedHealth #DigitalHealth #eHealth #ECFS
