This Sikorsky S76C++ took a tumble yesterday with Zambian VP Mutale Nalumango on board - fortunately she's fine after a hospital check-up. The bulk of this 76's operational life was with CHC Helicopter and Thai Aviation Services Limited up to 2017. It then was stored, acquired by Eagle Copters in late 2022, and they put back to flying condition in 2024 for ops by South African company Safomar Aviation (Pty) Ltd. A year further on and the Zambian Air Force added it to their VIP flight in late 2025 alongside an AB412 Yesterday it took off into a brown-out and without apparently gaining much height at all, ending up in the vegetation shortly after.
