We teamed up with Parkland School in Terrace End on a stormwater upgrade at their school! 🙌 This photo below might look like an ordinary ditch, but it’s actually a swale. It helps manage stormwater by slowing it down and filtering it before it flows to our awa. Our water team kicked things off with a chat about what we were building and why it matters. With plenty of helping hands, we managed to plant around 450 natives - all of which were grown at our nursery! 🌱 Ngā mihi nui - a massive thanks to the students and teachers from Parkland School who got stuck in alongside our water team. Together, we were able to create something that will help our city for years to come! ❤️
