More than 900,000 young people in the UK are currently not in education, employment or training. But behind that statistic is a generation unsure how to enter the workplace and whether it will work for them. This week we celebrate #EmployabilityDay in the UK and we spoke with Millie Cox, one of our Engagement Coordinators on the Connect to Work programme in Berkshire. Her message is clear: This isn’t just a job shortage. It’s a confidence and connection gap. For governments, that means designing programmes that go beyond placement. For employers, it means showing—early and clearly—that support is real.
