How fast is the Universe expanding? An international team led by OzGrav Partner Investigator Dr Kelly Gourdji (CSIRO) and OzGrav Chief Investigator Professor Adam Deller (Swinburne University of Technology) has taken a new step towards answering one of cosmology's biggest questions. By combining gravitational waves with observations from telescopes around the world, the team has made a new measurement of the Hubble Constant—the rate at which the Universe is expanding. Their findings favour one side of the long-running Hubble tension, strengthening the case that gravitational waves could help resolve one of modern cosmology's biggest debates. 🔗 Read more: https://lnkd.in/dNHF2ruV 📖 Published in The Astrophysical Journal #GravitationalWaves #Astronomy #Cosmology #HubbleConstant #HubbleTension #OzGrav #CSIRO
