Parting ways with French Polynesia. After nearly two months exploring the breathtaking islands and lagoons of French Polynesia, the Oyster World Rally 2026-27 fleet are now exploring Tonga and beyond. To celebrate an unforgettable chapter of the journey, the fleet gathered on Motu Mahaea in Taha’a’s stunning lagoon for a traditional Polynesian farewell. From snorkelling alongside stingrays and blacktip reef sharks, to outrigger canoe racing, stargazing and navigation workshops, a blessing for safe onward passage, and an unforgettable Polynesian dance ceremony, it was a day to remember for the fleet. As this remarkable period of cruising through some of the most remote and spectacular destinations on the rally route comes to a close, we wish the fleet fair winds and following seas on their passage to Tonga, where the next adventure awaits.
