The Think Human Festival returns to Oxford Brookes from 15 to 18 April with a free programme inviting students, staff, and the wider Oxford community to engage with academics, writers, performers, and activists. Organised by the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences (AHSS), this year's programme features theatre, music, film, and poetry, examining how ideas shape our lives and influence politics, culture, and community. As Katharine Craik, Director of the Festival, notes: "We're incredibly proud of the ways our research continues to open up space for thoughtful debate in an increasingly complex world." Highlights include: 'New Labour, New Britain?': Revisiting the Blair years (1997–2007) to find lessons for today’s political leaders with Professor Glen O’Hara. 'Try me for treason: Voices against Putin’s war': Actors perform courtroom speeches by Russian anti-war defendants, followed by a discussion on repression and resistance. 'The Oxford Quartet': Discovering how Elizabeth Anscombe, Philippa Foot, Mary Midgley and Iris Murdoch reshaped moral philosophy, featuring actor Annette Badland.
