The Oxford Brookes Wellbeing Garden Society hosts: Microbiome, gut health, gardening and wellbeing. This event will screen Microbirth, winner of the Grand Prix Award at the 2014 Life Sciences Film Festival. The documentary explores the latest research into the origins of the microbiome, and how microscopic events during childbirth can have lifelong consequences for children’s health. This will be followed by Dr Ashby Lavelle Sachs, on soil and gut health through contact with soil and gardening across the life course. Ashby will examine the connection between gut health and gardening and the work of the RHS surrounding health and gardening. Dr Lavelle Sachs is a Research Fellow in Wellbeing and Horticulture (RHS, Garden Wisley). https://lnkd.in/eaw6Jn95 Date 🗓️ 10 June 2026 Time 🕰️ 6:00pm to 8:00pm Location 📍 John Henry Brookes Lecture Theatre, John Henry Brookes Building, Headington
