How does France build an innovation ecosystem that actually translates academic research into market-ready startups? Visiting two different educational institutions—Université Paris-Saclay and EDHEC Business School—revealed how the "French Tech" soft power is being built from the ground up. 🔬 Université Paris-Saclay: • Backed by €66 million in innovation market investments. • A laser focus on the future: 25% of projects are in bioscience, with heavy emphasis on HPC (High-Performance Computing), quantum technology, and semiconductors. By partnering directly with La French Tech , STATION F , CentraleSupélec ensure that innovative science doesn't only stay trapped in school. 🏢 法國尼斯-里爾高等商學院: If Paris-Saclay builds the tech, EDHEC builds the business operators. Through their GET (Global Economic Transformation) program, students participate in intensive 2-month Hackathons. They partner directly with 20+ international corporations, taking on real-world, top-priority challenges. The solutions aren't just academic—successful teams often get absorbed right into the companies they helped. Bridging my own background in information engineering and French, seeing this integration of technical capacity and commercial experience was incredibly inspiring. It’s a powerful reminder that innovation isn't just about having a good idea; it's about building the infrastructure to support it. Appreciate to La French Tech Taiwan for this precious opportunity. #Innovation #StartupEcosystem #FrenchTech #ParisSaclay #EDHEC #DeepTech #OpenInnovation #Entrepreneurship
