In late April, OVIC attended the bi-annual Association of Information Access Commissioners meeting in Sydney. These meetings bring together jurisdictions from around Australia and New Zealand to discuss the opportunities, challenges and trends in the information access space. This meeting explored the importance of upholding integrity in the public sector, the economic arguments for the proactive release of government information, and how AI can be utilised when processing requests.
