In my latest Concept Creation module at SRH Haarlem University of Applied Sciences, we visited Amsterdam creative agency Being There — home to the creative minds behind campaigns for brands like Unox, Dr. Oetker, Eneco, ABN AMRO, Amstel, Heineken, TEDx, Ola, T-Mobile, and more. Creative Director (Copy) Bart Heijboer's spontaneous reception gave us a nice taste of life inside a creative agency. He let us peek behind the scenes in the “kitchen” where ideas are cooked up daily. We were walked through the creative process behind campaigns such as Dr. Oetker’s Supreme pizza and Eneco’s now-iconic yearly headwind cycling race. Personally, I still prefer working on a variety of brands over being tied to just one. What do you think? Do you see advantages to working in an in-house creative department instead?
