The biggest takeaway here is the structural shift designed to strengthen our defense industrial base. By stabilizing demand with multi-year agreements and actively rewarding speed, we are driving private investment directly into defense manufacturing. “Today’s announcement showcases the Acquisition Transformation Strategy in action, expanding the defense industrial base, fielding capabilities faster, and attracting private investment to fund innovation and increase manufacturing output,” stated USW(A&S) Duffey.
