Yesterday, everything at our company headquarters revolved around the standardised polygonal tool interface for turning machines – pti. Together with FHV - Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences, we welcomed high-profile participants to a pti symposium. The field of participants included applicants as well as machine and tool manufacturers. The varied programme covered theory and practice. Selected specialist presentations shed light on the polygonal tool interface and its development. During the subsequent tour of the company, participants were able to gain a practical insight and even change a tool on a turning machine with a pti interface themselves. We hope that all participants had an enjoyable day and that we were able to give you a an even better understanding of the advantages of pti. We were delighted with the positive feedback from participants. We are happy to return the praise to a wonderful audience. 𝐍𝐨𝐰 𝐢𝐭’𝐬 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐧𝐞𝐱𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐩 𝐭𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫! Contrary to common belief, mechanical engineering is not hesitant when it comes to innovation – it is bold, forward-looking and ready to shape the future. The pti interface is proof of what we can achieve when industry and research collaborate with a clear goal. We invite all companies in the industry to actively drive the implementation of pti within your organisations. Test it, challenge it, integrate it. Let’s move from discussion to action and set a strong signal for standardisation, efficiency and technological leadership in turning applications. The future of machining is not waiting. Let’s build it – together. Thanks for joyning: ALPLA Group, DMG MORI, Paul Horn GmbH, Hilti Deutschland AG, HPC Produktions GmbH, J.G. WEISSER Söhne GmbH & Co.
