πŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆ πŸ‡§πŸ‡· πŸ³οΈβ€βš§οΈ This weekend, Oslo Pride was honored with an award from the Brazilian LGBTQIA+ organization Grupo Gay da Bahia. 'The Order of Cultural Merit of LGBT+ Diversity Bahia' was given for our campaign film "Trygg" ("Safe"), which went viral worldwide earlier this year – resonating especially strongly in Brazil. The jury highlighted the film’s universal message about safety and the true meaning of the rainbow flag – a message that moved people across cultures and borders, all without using a single word. For us at Oslo Pride, this award is about more than recognizing a campaign. It underlines Pride’s universal message: that every person has the right to live safe and free lives, no matter who they are or who they love. πŸ™ We want to thank everyone who made this campaign possible. Every step – from the very first idea to the finished film – was carried out entirely by Oslo Pride’s volunteers and staff. That makes this recognition even more meaningful. We are deeply grateful to Grupo Gay da Bahia for this honor and for welcoming us so warmly in Salvador. Your work is a true inspiration for the LGBTQIA+ struggle for equality – not only in South America but across the globe. We also thank the Norwegian Embassy in Brazil (Norway in Brazil), who made it possible for us to be present at the ceremony. The embassy was also recognized with an award for its long-standing commitment to initiatives that promote dignity, equality, and inclusion for queer people in Brazil. We are proud that Norway stands as such a clear diplomatic voice for LGBTQIA+ rights. πŸŽ₯ Haven’t seen the campaign yet? Watch it here: https://lnkd.in/dMiMKAcw
