Emerging risks continue to evolve the audit landscape. On April 27, we co‑hosted the Canadian Audit Quality Roundtable with the Canadian Public Accountability Board (CPAB) and the Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA) - Autorités canadiennes en valeurs mobilières (ACVM). The session brought together leaders from across the audit and regulatory community. Topics discussed included: 🔸Current and emerging risks and their implications for audit quality 🔸Governance, culture, and ethics within audit firms and across the reporting ecosystem 🔸Expectations and challenges in auditing and assessing financial statement disclosures in a volatile environment For #OSFI, this dialogue supports our mandate to contribute to public confidence in the Canadian financial system. High-quality audits are essential to that confidence and to our ability as a regulator to rely on the work of audit firms in both stable and stressed conditions. Thank you to all participants for the thoughtful discussion and collaboration. Here are key takeaways from the discussion: https://lnkd.in/d5RxsFAY
