The press release said “AI-powered logistics disruption.” What the press release didn’t say: ✔️ Your WMS still doesn’t talk to your TMS. ✔️ Your ERP integration took 9 months and 3 consultants. ✔️ Your “fully automated” warehouse has ✔️ Dave doing manual overrides at 2am Dave has been doing manual overrides since 2019 and dave is Exhausted. The VC who told you to blitzscale has never touched a freight invoice. The LinkedIn guru who told you to “post consistently” has never rerouted an FTL load at midnight because a border crossing shut down. The consultant who sold you the automation roadmap is on a beach somewhere. And you? ✔️You’re managing driver shortages. ✔️Fighting thin margins on every cold chain lane. ✔️Watching your CSA scores like they’re a stock ticker. ✔️Trying to explain to a shipper why the last mile is always the most expensive mile. ✔️And smiling in every team photo like everything is fine. Because in logistics and automation you can’t afford to look like you’re struggling. Even when the WMS is down. Even when the pilot ROI is 28 months not 12. Even when Dave is still awake at 2am. And yet.
