See what I see on the sea? 🧐🚢 This is the topside of the first offshore converter station for Hornsea 3 – and it’s on the move!🌊 After travelling 13,000 nautical miles from Thailand to Norway for fit-out, the first of two offshore converter stations for the Hornsea 3 Offshore Wind Farm has departed for its final home in the North Sea. It will join forces with the jacket, which is piled into the seabed. The topside will be welded onto the jacket, ready to help reinforce European energy independence by powering more than 3.3 million UK homes with clean, reliable energy. A great shout-out to our teams from Ørsted, Aibel, Hitachi Energy, and Heerema Fabrication Group for the impressive progress 👏
