👷♂️Safety first on Hornsea 3 with replica foundations 🏗️ Along with our partners, we’re close to completing a series of trials conducted on a 435-tonne replica monopile – a key part of the foundations of an offshore wind farm. Together with Cadeler and Siemens Gamesa we’ve been carrying out rigorous testing at the Port of Tyne in the north-east of England to help boost safety, repeatability, and overall installation efficiency. We’ve been testing the scopes, including foundations and wind turbines as it’s much safer to try something for the first time onshore rather than in the middle of the North Sea 🌊 Take a look to see the replica and our teams in action 👇
