On the final day of WindEurope, we spent the morning discussing how misperceptions affect our industry 💭   Thank you for a great morning yesterday, unpacking the insights from our new paper and the risks these misperceptions pose to the build-out of renewables across Europe.   WindEurope 2026 has underlined why we need a renewables-based energy system: energy security and affordability.   The fact remains that 57 % of the EU’s energy consumption comes from imports – in a geopolitical landscape where the need for European energy independence has rarely been clearer. At the same time, we’re seeing steps in the right direction.
