First Hornsea 3 foundations arrive in the UK 🚢 🌊   Check out this video 👇 to see the first of the 197 monopiles for the Hornsea 3 Offshore Wind Farm arriving in the UK from Spain.   And if you’re wondering: each monopile weighs 1,670 tonnes and is 90 metres long. That’s the equivalent of nine of the heaviest blue whales and three of them laid end to end.   To have these impressive structures arrive is no small feat. Six of the massive structures travelled 960 nautical miles in two batches from our manufacturer Haizea Wind Group on BigLift Shipping B.V.’s CY Interocean II. The load-out and load-in were completed by Cadeler working with experts from Ørsted and Haizea in Spain, and Ørsted and the Port of Teesworks in the UK.   A huge milestone for Hornsea 3 – achieved by safe and efficient teamwork. #hornsea3 #offshorewind #renewableenergy
