The arrival of the first Baltica 2 monopiles can only mean one thing … We’re getting ready to move offshore 🌊 This May, offshore installation of the first monopiles for Baltica 2 will begin – the largest offshore wind farm under construction in Poland. Manufactured by EEW and Steelwind, the monopiles are all individually designed for their specific location at sea and will support 107 wind turbines and four offshore substations in the Baltic Sea. Developed by Ørsted in partnership with PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna, Baltica 2 is an important part of Ørsted’s construction portfolio and our ambition to add 8.1 GW by 2027, supporting European energy security and competitiveness.
