Yesterday we had the pleasure of hosting members of the global Nuffield community at the Home of Kerrygold – Kerrygold Park in Mitchelstown – as part of the Nuffield International Triennial 2026. The group, which includes past and present Nuffield Scholars from a range of countries and agricultural backgrounds, learned about Ornua’s origin and co-operative model, as well as the history of Kerrygold, before experiencing a close-up look at our flagship butter production facility. The visit provided an opportunity to showcase how craft meets innovation behind the scenes at Kerrygold Park, alongside the extended Kerrygold range of butter, cheese and cream cheese products available around the world. The Nuffield International Triennial, which came together in Ireland for only the second time this past week, brings together industry and academia across global agrifood sectors to strengthen knowledge sharing while creating a space for discussion on shared challenges, opportunities, and the important role of innovation in the development of more sustainable and future-ready food systems.
