Building the event-led growth engine at ClickUp. From 3 events a quarter → 1 event a week.

Last week we wrapped the final three EMEA events of ClickUp’s financial year. With the Q4 rush paused (if even just for a second), I finally had time to breathe and look back. I’ve learned the importance of taking time to really appreciate your achievements, and I can say, with all honestly for the first time in my career, (with no niggling imposter syndrome voice in the back of my brain), that I am good at my job. Not just good, but damn fucking good. What I’m learning is that perfection isn’t real. You can deliver something bloody brilliant and still make it 1% better next time. That tiny gap is where growth lives, and honestly, I love that. There is always another skill to learn, another challenge to take on, another chance to back yourself. So here’s me owning the messy middle and holding myself accountable. Things I want to improve this year: 🤖AI Knowledge: The space is moving fast and I want to stay ahead, not just keep up. ClickUp launched Super Agents last months and I’ve seen the power they hold in taking the mundane out of work. 🕰️ Time management: Motivation wasn’t consistent and I left things too late. I had tools and resources to help and didn’t use them. 🧠 Trusting my gut: I played it safe when my instincts were telling me something different. In the end I often pivoted to what my gut was telling me anyway, so I should have listened from the start. 🙋🏼‍♀️ Asking for help: Being the EMEA/APAC marketer I'm used to being a lone wolf, but I have a team that are beyond brilliant, and actually wants to help. I’m proud of what we built and created this last year, but I’m even more excited for what’s next. So cheers to the last year, and cheers to the next! 🥂
